The 7-Century Market of Rialto

Photo taken by @skyemcalpine

A side of Rialto Market & Pescheria, Venice, Italy 🇮🇹

Named after one of four main bridges of Venice and the closest bridge, Rialto Bridge, along side the Grand Canal

Showcasing colourful towers of local fruits and vegetables, meat, and daily caught fish. Boats, actually, park right next to the Pescheria, where the fish get prepared for buyers immediately, for an extra "can-never-be-fresher" experience!

According to travel guides, Rialto Market has been a treat for both locals and visitors for around 7 centuries. Yet to this day, locals still buy their fresh produce daily, from here.
